Three generations,
one phone number.

Earl Harlan opened the shop on Mill Street in 1962 with one truck, a borrowed snake, and a handshake-only price list. He passed it to his son Ray in 1989, who taught his daughter Jess the trade before he handed her the keys in 2019. Same shop. Same phone. Same way of doing business. You fix it right the first time, you tell the customer what it cost before you start, and you stand behind every joint you sweat.

We're not the biggest plumber in the county. We don't want to be. We run three trucks, all family or family-trained, and we keep our schedule honest so when we tell you we'll be there at 9, we're there at 9.

Every job gets a written flat-rate price before we pick up a tool. If we run into something we didn't see coming, we stop, show you, and you decide. No "while we were in there" surprises on the invoice. No part markups you have to argue about.

Sixty-some years in, we're still here because the people of Harlan County kept calling back. That's not something we take lightly.

You can't put a price on knowing the person fixing your house is going to be at the same number tomorrow.

Called Jess on a Sunday night about a slab leak. Truck was in the driveway Monday at 8 sharp. She showed me what she was doing as she went, gave me a written number before opening any drywall, and stuck to it. Patched the wall on her way out.

Three quotes for a new water heater. Two tried to sell me a tankless. Harlan walked through what we actually use, suggested the 50-gallon, came in lower than both. Installed in the morning. Hot water by noon.
